How to Submit Your Manuscript

Signing the contract

If our fees and services are agreeable to you, we will either E-mail or mail you a simple contract to sign. The contract will detail the exact editing services you have laid out for us to perform and the time frame in which we must complete the service for you.
After we have both signed the contract (you can type your name as an electronic signature if sent through E-mail), we will begin work on your project immediately.

If our working relationship is long-term, Stirling Editing has an open contract available that may suit your needs.

Submitting your project

Hard or Soft Copy?

While hard copy is preferred, Stirling Editing can edit electronically if this method is easier for you. Generally, Microsoft Word’s Track Changes is used. If you are unfamiliar with Track Changes, but would like to try it, we can walk through the basics of how to use and decipher its proofreading marks. It’s quite simple once you know how to navigate it.

How to Format

Please submit your project in this format:

Double-spaced
12-point font
Times New Roman font type

Please include in your submission:

A full or partial manuscript.
A table of contents, if available.
A cover page listing your contact information (if not on your title or first page). Please include your full name, phone number, home address, and E-mail address.
A synopsis of your story, if available.
