Narrator Highlight: Caprisha Page

Narrator Caprisha Page lent her voice to the project and through her talents, she brought all the characters to life: Arethusa, Tristan, Diogo and all the others. Here’s what Caprisha had to say about her experience:
Narrator Caprisha Page“Being an audiobook narrator, I love the sound of spoken language, regardless of the language in question. The sounds and inflections each language and regional dialect possesses helps us to understand characters and settings in ways that are deeper than just the written word. A project like Artemis Rising reminds me how interconnected the world really is. When I took the project on, I knew I was going to need to help with all of the Portuguese words and phrases in the book. Thankfully, Cheri had someone lined up who was exceptional at breaking all of these down. While I speak languages other than English, Portuguese, and especially that of the Azoreans was not one of them. Not only was this tutor able to help me bring these words to life, but through this process my “tutor” has also become a friend, one that I hope to keep for a long time. Languages possess that amazing ability to bring two previously unknown people together, building friendships from miles away.”

Dive into the story

What if your name was your destiny? And what if that name foretold a tragic end?

Artemis RisingEva must accept the tragic fate her mother has chosen for her. But Tristan, the one she loves, has willingly chosen another destiny, a journey fraught with danger and sorrow. Diogo, driven by a mysterious power, will force them further apart if they cannot break the curse of their fates.

Set against the lush backdrop of 1890s Azores Islands, this YA Historical Fantasy is a seamless blend of two ancient mythologies: Tristan and Isolde & Alpheus and Arethusa.

A First Place Winner in the Chanticleer Cygnus Awards and E-book Category Finalist in the Next Generation Indie Book Awards, this Historical Fantasy novel is for readers who loved Chelsea Fine’s Archers of Avalon series, Megg Jensen’s Anathema, and Addison Moore’s Celestra series.
